You can make your own, download one from the Internet, or\\nbuy them from support groups and other entities. Basically, the\\ncard says something like this:\\n\\nI have a severe reaction to gluten and am on a strict\\ngluten-free diet. Thank you for working with me to prepare a\\nmeal I can safely enjoy.\\n\\nI cannot eat wheat, rye, barley, or their derivatives. These\\ninclude kamut, spelt, durum, semolina, bulgur, triticale,\\nand malt. I also avoid oats. Foods and ingredients I need to\\navoid include croutons, bread, breadings, flour, soy sauce,\\norzo, buns and rolls, brown rice syrup, and malt vinegar. I\\ncaneat rice, corn, potatoes, tapioca, soy, beans, amaranth,\\narrowroot, buckwheat, quinoa, millet, teff, and nut flours.\\nI can also eat vinegar (except malt vinegar) and distilled\\nalcohols.\\n\\nIf you have any questions, please ask me. Thank you for\\nworking with me on this! Know that you have given me the\\nopportunity to relax and enjoy my meal; I appreciate that\\nvery much.\\n\\nIf you make your own card, laminating it is a good idea, because\\nit\\\'s likely to get covered in food when the chef handles it. You\\ncan even make up several of these cards and leave them behind\\nwith the chef for other patrons he or she may have in the future.\\n\\nFind ways to adjust your foodstuffs with Living Gluten-Free For\\nDummies [ http://www.dummies.com/WileyCDA/DummiesTitle/productCd-0471773832.html?cid=etipBookLink ],\\nby Danna Korn.\\n\\nRelated Articles\\n\\nCoping with Food Allergies\\n[ http://www.dummies.com/WileyCDA/DummiesArticle/id-576.html?cid=etipArticleLink ]\\n\\nBagging the Benefits of Taking Your Lunch\\n[ http://www.dummies.com/WileyCDA/DummiesArticle/id-3183.html?cid=etipArticleLink ]\\n\\nTaking Steps to Change Your Eating Habits\\n[ http://www.dummies.com/WileyCDA/DummiesArticle/id-3338.html?cid=etipArticleLink ]\\n\\n*******************************************************\\n\\n*******************************************************\\nWIN AN XBOX 360 SYSTEM!\\n\\nAttention all you big gamers out there! TODAY'S eTIP(TM): Adding Text to the HTML Page in Which Your Flash Site Is Embedded

Search engines also search the first few paragraphs of text in a
Web page. Savvy Web designers always include several of keywords
in the text on the home page. If your site is built in Flash,
however, all the text is embedded in the Flash movie. You can add
text to the page in which your Flash movie is embedded, as
follows:

1. Open the HTML document in which your Flash movie is
embedded. This task is easier if you open the document
in a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editor
like Dreamweaver.

2. Press Enter or Return several times. This adds several
lines with no text to the document. Your goal is to add
enough lines so that the text you type will not be
visible in the browser.

3. Type the desired text. Don't just type a string of
keywords because major search engines may reject a
bunch of keywords that are not part of a paragraph.
Type a meaningful paragraph that describes the client's
business or what is in the Web site. Some Web visitors
will actually scroll down to the text out of curiosity.
The text should be similar to the welcome message you
see on any Web site home page. But the trick is to use
as many keywords as possible in the text. If for
example, if your client is Joe Smith, a fashion
photographer from Tampa, Florida, your first line of
text may read like this:

Joe Smith is a fashion photographer doing business in Tampa,
Florida.
